Wholesome Health
A functional and integrative medicine practice that believes in treating patients individually. I am ready to get healthy
Megan Reed, AGACNP-BC
Founder, Wholesome Health
Welcome! My name is Megan and I’ve been a nurse practitioner since 2019, graduating from Walden University, specializing in geriatrics, acute care, trauma and general surgery. Prior to that I was a bedside nurse in a local hospital since 2014 receiving my Bachelor’s in nursing from Chamberlain University. While taking care of patients is a passion of mine, getting to the root cause of why symptoms occur, is where my main focus is. I’m currently enrolled in classes to become certified as a functional medicine practitioner to better serve my patients and to offer wholesome health to those who want to optimize their daily living. When I’m not working, you can find me camping with my husband and children or running around to sports, day in and day out! I look forward to talking with you and being given the opportunity to improve your daily health.

FAQ’s

What is Functional Medicine?
Functional medicine is a whole-body systems-based approach to treat disease process instead of only treating symptoms. It is a patient-centered approach that focuses on the “why” to identify and address the root cause of disease. Functional Medicine practitioners spend time with their patients to listen to their story gathering impertinent information about their history that creates a timeline. This timeline is used to identify triggers to chronic illnesses which can include environmental, lifestyle or nutritional factors.
At Wholesome Health, we shift from the conventional disease centered approach to a patient centered approach which reshapes the way we think about healthcare and medicine. We believe in the fulfillment of the best mental, physical, spiritual and emotional health for each individual.
