What should I expect at my initial visit?
Your initial visit to our office will last about 90 minutes. It will involve an in-depth review of your history along with a physical exam. From there, an action plan will be created focusing on patient-centered care. This may include lab work, supplements and/or other modalities to achieve optimal health goals.
What is the cost for the initial visit?
The initial cost is $175 for the 90-minute visit. From there, the monthly membership fee would take over. The initial cost does not cover labs or supplements that are suggested in the action plan.
Why is a monthly membership necessary?
We believe everyone deserves the right to affordable and accessible healthcare. Unfortunately, functional medicine is not covered by insurance plans. To keep overall costs low while keeping the focus on the patient interaction, Wholesome Health has implemented a monthly membership that allows time and service that isn’t covered by insurance.
What does the membership include?
You will receive a 90-minute consultation for an in-depth review of your medical history and a physical exam.
An action plan for your treatment, including regular meetings, monitoring, and adjusting your protocol if needed. Your healing plan may also include lab work, supplements, and other health recommendations.
After your initial consultation, you will meet quarterly with Megan and have the ability to ask questions throughout your membership.

Can I stop seeing my primary care physician (PCP)?
Functional medicine is an adjunct to healthcare that offers alternative therapies. Many patients are encouraged to continue seeing their PCP while utilizing this special type of care.
Is my membership fee covered by insurance?
No. Most insurance companies and programs consider the services out-of-network. We will provide paperwork for office visits that have CPT codes, diagnosis codes and other information where you can submit to your insurance company if desired. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee reimbursement and suggest you reach out to your insurance provider directly. In most cases, however, you can pay with a Health Savings Account (HSA). Check with your HSA provider.
Cancellation Policy
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy for all appointments. Changes or cancellations made after this timeframe will be charge a $75 fee.
No-shows will be charged a $100 fee.
How much should I budget for labs?
Lab work varies from patient to patient; however, the estimated costs of labs can range from $200-$1500 depending on work-up. Some labs may be reimbursable by your insurance and paperwork can be provided to you.
